Less is More - Off the Edge & CHNC - golden

This card is for two challenges: Craftyhazelnut's Go for the Gold and Less is More's Off the Page.

I used a white textured card base and stamped some flourishes and a sentiment on the front. I then added gold stickles to the dots. This is very simple and does use some gold (not much, but hopefully enough to meet the criteria for the Go for the Gold challenge). I did want to add more "stuff", but resisted in keeping with the less is more feeling. (Though it does look a bit empty to me.)

Thanks for popping in. I hope you enjoyed taking a look.

  1. This is a perfect Clean and Simple card!
Lots of white space and a lovely layout.
If you think it looks a little 'empty' I think it may be that as the sentiment is quite 'busy' the flourish looks plainer in comparison. It may be that as you have only used part of the large stamp, there may be another section which you could use which has a little more going on.
However, I wouldn't worry, it looks fab as it is!
Thanks for joining us and we hope to see you again for our next challenge!

  2. Hi Ruth this is just FAB
Id maybe consider colouring the heart in black, maybe to add a little depth
Maybe another time you could do it and change the font to black too
Only thinking out loud as you were wondering!
    Thanks for joining us

  3. I love it - very classy. Thank you for joining in my CHNC challenge 11 - and, yes, it certainly fulfils the criterion of using gold - any amount! Hope to see you again soon. x

  6. I think your card is wonderful. It may be the lighting, as the ink looks a bit pink instead of Christmas red. If that is the case, super! Its wonderfully nontraditional!
