This week's challenge at Bah!Humbug! is to use lace, and at CHNC we are asked to include some holiday food (and candy is the best kind of food). I did a card that I'm not really fond of, but Erin's birthday is this week (actually, today) so I am short on time. I'll probably take it apart and alter it somehow later.
For the image I used a Stampability stamp, Sweet Music, colored with watercolor pencils. The lace is crocheted and from my stash, along with the wine colored satin ribbon and gem. I cut the image out with a Nestie and stuck it all to a cream and white patterned paper before putting it on a white card base. Thanks for looking. (I've also posted the birthday card I made for Erin - I like that one better - my first gate fold card)
Erin's birthday card:
The birthday card is great and the candy cane Christmas card is cute - thanks for joining in my CHNC challenge 31 - hope to see you again soon. x
ReplyDeleteHi Ruth. You have done a good job with the lace frame. Lovely neat corners. I can't believe there are so many of these little mice stamps around out there. I keep seeing different ones on blogs. This one is rather cute and fun.
ReplyDeleteErin's card is lovely too. Such a nice sentiment. having five sons but no daughters, I don't get to say nice things like that. Kate x
Oh Ruth the crocheted lace looks beautiful ... and what a lovely sentiment you have used for Erin's card. Thank you for sharing with us at Bah! Humbug!
