We are making a card that is anything but a square or rectangle for
Bah!Humbug!, and it must have at least one star for
CHNC. (I try to combine both of these wonderful challenges when I can, since I am still quite slow at making cards). Anyways, I was looking for ideas on how to do a differently shaped card, and happened to go to the
Miscanthus Crafts blog. There, I found some very helpful tutorials. I used the pop-up tag tutorial for this card - it worked quite well! (Super easy to follow)
Supplies used were: patterned papers from the Hobby Lobby Christmas 2010 Magic of the Season pad, red and gold foil papers, and a tree cut from the Slice Falala design card (popped up off the card), peel off sentiment, trim from Making Memories deck the halls ribbon pack, and gold and red gems.
I do hope you like it, and thanks for taking a look!
A clever card and very pretty. Lovely deep red foiling on the tree. Kate x
ReplyDeleteI am so struggling to visit everyone's blogs at the moment. Just back from holiday, washing - ironing - work - eeeeeeeeeek just can't fit it all in. So glad I've got a little blog hopping time though or I would have missed this brill card. I love the shape - not seen this done before.
